Christian Education is very important at All Saints and takes many forms:
Sunday School - 9:00 a.m. This is the traditional Sunday School hour with classes for preschoolers through adults. The curriculum is Scripture-based with an emphasis on exploring and understanding God’s Word. For more information on Sunday School classes, contact Emilie Bush, Director of Family Ministry, familyministry@allsaintslutheran.net or call the church office, 770-923-7283.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a two-year period of learning and exploration for young
people, typically in the 7th and 8th grades. Building on what they have
already experienced in church and at home, this is an opportunity for
them to gain an even deeper understanding of the Christian faith. The
Bible and Luther’s Small Catechism provide the framework for our
confirmation program. At the end of the two years, the young people make
a personal commitment to live out the Christian faith in which they have
been baptized. We call this “An Affirmation of Baptism.” For more
information on Confirmation, contact the office at 770-923-7283 or
e-mail pastor@allsaintslutheran.net or call the church office.
Youth Ministry
Youth in grades 6-12 meet regularly to pray for one another, to unlock
the mysteries of Scripture and serve enthusiastically. During the school
year, the youth meet most Sunday nights.
Milestones All Saints recognizes the important milestones in the journey of children into young Christians. Baptism, Entry to Sunday School, Beginning of the School Year, First Bible, First Communion, Confirmation, High School Graduation, College Graduation.
Bible Studies
There are a variety of Bible study opportunities for adults outside of Sunday mornings. Call the church office for the current offerings.
New Member Classes Two to three times a year, we offer an opportunity for those curious or prospective members to learn more about the Christian faith and Lutheranism. You are not obligated to join the church by attending these classes, but we encourage those new to the Christian faith to take the course before they join this church. Call the church office, 770-923-7283, and find out when the next class will be offered. If you are transferring from another congregation, please inform your former parish’s church office and the All Saints church office.
Spiritual Gift Workshops Offered on a regular basis, these are intended to help individuals discover their God-given talents for service in the church. The workshop makes use of a self-administered inventory and leader follow-up to help participants find where they “fit” best. Check the calendar or call the church office for the next workshop.
