 The Guys of All Saints (GAS) is a very informal group open to all members and visitors and is an opportunity to meet and share fellowship with men in our church. They meet the first Saturday of each month (except in July) beginning at 8:00 am with a devotion and then a wonderful ritual -the lifting of prayer concerns. This is a time when family, friends, other members of our community are lifted up in prayer and thanksgiving. A spirit-led program, sometimes with a guest speaker, follows these devotions.
The men of our church are extremely active in many areas of our church and pride themselves on hosting a number of culinary events throughout the year. Some of these events are Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Fish Fries (with hush puppies not to be missed) and the Fall Festival featuring their specialty, Bratwurst. They sponsor a number of work days at the church where special projects get accomplished. They enjoy preparing goodie boxes for our college students and armed forces overseas. Each fall, they organize a retreat for the men in the congregation and their friends or guests. All in all, they are a busy, active group of men who enjoy giving of themselves to our church, our community, and to each other. |
